I never met Dr. James Dobson in person. But like many Christians of my generation, I felt the impact of his ministry in a deeply personal way. His teachings shaped how I thought about family, faith, and purpose. His words guided countless people through seasons of parenting, marriage, and spiritual struggle. He didn't just speak into people's lives—he helped shape them.

That kind of influence doesn’t just disappear when someone retires or passes away. It lingers. It ripples through generations. That’s a legacy.

Which got me thinking: What kind of legacy will I leave behind? Have you ever paused to consider that question for yourself?

Legacy isn’t about fame or fortune. It’s about impact. It’s about how your words, actions, and convictions continue to echo in the lives of others after you’re gone. It could be the way you raised your kids. The way you treated people when no one was watching. The way you showed up when someone needed you most.

For some, legacy might mean publishing books or leading ministries. For others, it might mean simply living a life of quiet faithfulness—being a light in your workplace, your neighborhood, or even your own family.

Whatever it looks like, legacy begins with intentional living. So here’s the question I’ve been asking myself lately—and maybe you should, too: Am I living today in a way that builds the kind of legacy I want to leave tomorrow?
